Pressed for Time? Plan Ahead with These Foods
Maybe you do feel hungry, but mornings are a whirlwind and you can rarely find time to grab a bite. Many of these energy-supplying, stomach-filling breakfast foods are easy to grab on-the-go or prepare the night before:
- oatmeal (real, not prepackaged and flavored),
- whole grains/whole wheat foods
- fresh fruit and veggies
- skim milk and soy
- yogurt and cheese
“If you choose not to include a good source of protein, fat or fiber in every meal or snack, you will feel hungry sooner,” says Zarina Moffett, RD. So make sure you get at least one of these in. By eating a filling, nutritious breakfast, your energy level will soar. You won’t even want to rummage for pretzels in your desk two hours later.
