Final Phase Fat Loss was recently released by John Romaniello. He took a very unique approach to fat loss that peeked my interest. That you could actually target specific hormones (cortisol, insulin, estrogen and leptin) that are causing regional fat storage in specific areas of your body by performing exercises in a specific way.
For your information this is his explanation of what hormone are responsible for specific fat storage in your body. Cortisol is responsible for abdominal fat. Insulin for weight gain in the back and love handles. Estrogen for butt and legs. And leptin for overall final fat resistance.
John Romaniello, a weight loss expert/personal trainer and creator of the Final Phase Fat Loss Program, has created four different training regiment that you do each week to target these hormones. The four different workouts are: density, dynamic, lactic-acid and strength. Even though each workout targets a specific hormone that is responsible for fat storage in one area of your body, Romaniello doesn’t recommend that individuals only do those workouts that involve there problem areas. Instead, he says, it is essential to do all of them to aid in the process of losing those last few stubborn pounds.
Romaniello also discusses muscle confusion similar to the way P90X and Tony Horton promote muscle confusion. The four workouts are laid out differently each week to keep your body off balance. The major differences between Final Phase Fat Loss and P90x is the diversity of the reps and sets and that you are using more resistance-based training.
Cardio is only done once a week and you perform HIIT or High Intensity Interval Training. The intervals are based on exertion and are challenging. The afterburn effect is in full effect with these cardio workouts.
The nutrition program is pretty general, pointing you to certain levels of calories and breaking down those calories into specific energy sources. If you order the upgraded version you are given the Cheat Your Way Thin eBook. This book details a diet plan that includes a cheat day. The cheat day is supposed to help regulate leptin levels as you lose weight. The author Joel Marion argues that leptin levels are controlled by two things: our fat and our caloric intake. Have a cheat day and your leptin will rise and stay raised, Marion reasons. This diet plan is very similar to the Body For Life Program.
Note: All programs reviewed at AskFitnessCoach are initially read to determine effectiveness based on prior experience. If the program presents new ideas and methodologies, we’ll set up a test group to execute the program. Final Phase Fat Loss is currently being tested by a group of about 20 people, and we’ll present the results in detail in later posts.
Update 1: I’m currently testing the program’s effectiveness and have just completed the first week. The program has presented some new ideas in regard to workout design. The workouts are somewhat complex to perform on your own, but each workout has been challenging and engaging.
Update 2: Finished week two and I really like the diversity of the Final Phase Fat Loss workouts. I am getting more accustom to them and my performance is increasing.
Update 3: 20 subjects have had significant success in decreasing body fat and inches over the first two weeks of using the program.
I would highly recommend the Final Phase Fat Loss Program if you are up for a challenge. It is by far the most diverse program I have come across and it was very educational. Click Here! To Order Today!
