Karina’s Summer Smoothies for that Summer Bod

It’s officially the first day of summer!  That means smoothie season is in full blast.  I love experimenting with different smoothie recipes and I want to share my 5 favorites with you!  

1.Pineapple Paradise Green Smoothie

This smoothie makes you feel like you’re right on the beach.  The avocado makes it the perfect creamy texture for you to enjoy all summer long!

Summer smoothie recipe

  • ¾ cup water
  • 2 cups fresh or thawed pineapple chunks
  • 1 medium ripe avocado, halved and pitted
  • 2 cups spinach
  • ½ cup ice cubes

2. Tropical Protein Summer Smoothie

Nothing says summer like coconut and pineapple!  This shake also has protein powder so if you’re wanting stronger toned muscles, this is a delicious pick!

Summer smoothie recipes

  • Vanilla almond milk, 1 cup (unsweetened)
  • Pineapple, 1 cup (frozen)
  • Blueberries, ½ cup (frozen)
  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
  • Coconut milk, 1 tsp. (unsweetened)

3. Summer Orange Blast

Talk about refreshing!  The citrus and pineapple are a combo you need to try this summer.  And on top of the perfect summer taste, you’ll also get protein!  If you want toned muscles this summer, you’ve got to try this shake!

Tropical Orange Protein Smoothie Recipe

  • I large Orange, peeled
  • I Banana, peeled
  • 1/2 cup Frozen Pineapple
  • 1/2 cup Almond Milk
  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder

4. Tangy Green Apple Smoothie

Kale is basically the ultimate health food, but in this tangy smoothie- you can’t even taste it!  This is my favorite smoothie to make on a hot summers day.  I like it with a green apple so it’s extra tart!

  • 1/2 apple
  • 1/2 banana
  • 1/2 cup kale
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • handful of ice

5. Chai Mango Coconut Smoothie

  • 1 large ripe mango, peeled and cored
  • 1 large ripe banana
  • 1 nectarine, halved and seeded
  • 8 ice cubes
  • 1/3 cup low-fat coconut milk
  • 2/3 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 2 teaspoons chia seeds
